DLC Media, INC has an immediate opening for General Sales Manager. This position covers the Terre Haute and surrounding areas. Our stations include WVIG, WAMB, WFNB, WAXI and WZJK. The winning candidate will be working in an organization that is committed to helping our clients succeed. Our sales process is clearly defined and includes training and sales support.
- Will carry a list of important station accounts with daily responsibility of copy writing, creating presentations, and regular appointments.
- Will make coaching calls and training new sales staff
- Will conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with sales staff and hold them accountable for their sales goals, as well as help them brainstorm ideas to help their clients
- Track and monitor the sales of each executive, as well as past due accounts and upcoming renewals
- Account lists
- Monitor competition and marketing trends
- Consistently achieve established sales goals
- Become involved in community organizations
- Plan and lead sales meetings
- Create Digital promotions and other interactive opportunities
- Sales & Marketing skills, strong prospecting, negotiating and closing skills
- 2-5 years of steady progression as a sales leader, preferably in marketing and/or broadcast
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs)
- Must have strong leadership and team management skills.
- High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and state mandated automobile insurance
Salary is negotiable with opportunities to earn additional personal commission as well as sales bonuses awarded for hitting monthly and annual budgets. Sales Manager also receives a monthly travel allowance as well as life insurance. DLC Media has a retirement package and a personal and family health, dental and vision plan.

- Prospecting, cold calling, and development of new sales opportunities
- Creation of client-focused sales plans to meet/exceed goals, and ensuring client needs are met

- Assisting with collection efforts from clients

- High school with some college preferred

- Knowledge in the following industries,retail business, radio, digital, marketing, advertising, a plus
